Canada’s 2 Man Bobsleigh Out of the Running!
“[Lascelles Brown] pushed like a champion,” says Rush, pilot of the Canada 1 two-man bobsleigh. “He deserves better than that. I really let him down.” Canada 1 sat third after the first heat, while Brown and Rush were the fastest off the start in both heats. On the second run, Rush made a mistake in corner 11. So began a snowball effect that got worse and worse and worse until it was over in corner 13, with Canada 1 on its side, scraping across the finish line.”I have never crashed there,” Rush said. “I didn’t bump my head very hard. I got a hard head. I played football for a lot of years. It was just more like, ‘You got to be kidding me,’ this didn’t just happen.’
Winter Olympic Highlights for Saturday
Apolo Ohno finished third in the 1,000-meter short-track race, bringing him a bronze medal and making him the most decorated American in the history of the Winter Olympics. He has seven medals in three Olympics, one more than United States speed skater Bonnie Blair.
— South Korea finished first and second in the 1,000-meter race and second and third in the women’s 1,500-meter short-track event. Those four medals were the most won by any country on Saturday. The United States had three — a silver for speed skater Shani Davis, a bronze for alpine skier Lindsey Vonn and the bronze for Ohno.
— The United States remained at the top of the medal table with six golds and 23 overall. The Americans are within two medals of equaling their total from Turin four years ago.

JAPADOG ONE OF THE FOOD EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 2010 WINTER OLYMPICS IN VANCOUVER
The “inventor” wanted to sell crepes, but when the city wouldn’t let him do that, he turned to hot dogs instead, covered with Japanese toppings.
One of the most thoroughly enjoyable food experiences to be found in Vancouver is alongside a Japadog sidewalk cart.
The crowds are huge and the lineups can be long, Â for a fatty, flavourful Kurobuta pork sausage loaded with fried onions, teriyaki sauce, Japanese mayonnaise and nori shreds.
