One of  the strongest Canadian women’s hockey teams ever assembled , defeated the Finnish team 5-0 Monday to produce the final everyone in the hockey world had anticipated.

Canada and the U.S., will play for gold on Thursday. The Americans won over Sweden 9-1.

The US team believes that the Canadians will struggle with the pressure of going for gold on their own ice.

“I do know how much pressure is going to be on their shoulders,” U.S. defenceman Angela Ruggiero said, recalling how her team lost the gold to Canada at Salt Lake City in 2002.

“There’ll be tons of butterflies in their system. … I know what they have to deal with and it’s a lot.”

But once the puck is dropped to start the game the nerves will be replaced by their tremendous skills and determination.

Should be another great game between Canada and the USA!

Avid curler from Winnipeg passed away and is met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter.

The man asks, “St Peter, curling has been a big part of my life. I hope they have curling in heaven?”

St Peter replies, “Yes, we have a fine facility. Let me show you.”

They walk a little and enter into the curling club where the man sees a lone person practicing. The man is wearing a Canada jersey with the red maple leaf and the name Martin on the back.

The man from Winnipeg says. “I didn’t know Kevin Martin passed away?”

St. Peter replied, “No, that’s God , he just thinks he’s Kevin Martin!”

The final score of Canada vs USA ended up being 5-3 in the USA’s favor. While  Canadians are upset for  losing an Olympics Hockey match in our favourite sport against our neighbours, especially in a Winter Olympics taking place in Vancouver, it is not the end for Canada.
